Power-Gen International

Again this year WahlcoMetroflex will be participating in the Power-Gen International Exhibition and Trade Show. This year’s Show will take place from December 6th to December 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Sands Expo, and
WahlcoMetroflex will be located at Booth #4339.

WahlcoMetroflex will be highlighting its proven technical expertise in Flue Gas Desulphurization Systems (FGD’s) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) damper technology. The company will also exhibit its capabilities in designing, manufacturing and servicing a broad range of high-performance isolation and flow control dampers and expansion joints for a variety of other industrial and utility applications.

International Trade Mission

In continuing its growth initiative through globalization, WahlcoMetroflex participated in its second annual International Trade Mission with a delegation from the State of Maine (pictured here in Lyon, France). The company’s primary goals are to learn more about traditional international industrial market needs, to meet with prospective clients, and to identify potential sales representation overseas. France is the eighth largest trading partner with the US, and its economy is the fifth largest in the world with a GDP of approximately one-sixth the size of that of the US. Evan Spoerl, WahlcoMetroflex Sales Manager (seventh from left in picture), represented the company on this year’s Trade Mission.

Associazione Termotecnica Italiana

WahlcoMetroflex was proud to be both a sponsor and participant in the recent Associazione Termotecnica Italiana symposium entitled “The DeNOx and DeSOx Process Plants-Technologies for the Environment.” It took place in Milan, Italy on October 20th and 21st.

The symposium was aimed at presenting the latest technologies of the main aspects of the industrial developments and research on DeNOx and DeSOx plants. Topics covered included Regulations, Research, Processes, Fabrication and Operation of these plants. WahlcoMetroflex President John A. Powell presented a paper on Dampers for DeNOx and DeSOx Applications (PDF 288 KB). The symposium was attended by over 160 professionals in the Italian engineering community who work with these types of issues on a daily basis.

Company Bar-B-Q July 2005

We took a much needed break for our company Bar-B-Q this July. This year’s growth in business has brought some new faces to both the shop and office on all shifts. The Bar-B-Q provided an opportunity for us to review our recent accomplishments including 144 days without an accident and 644 days without a lost time injury and counting.
